We're making the most of the final days of summer!! Join us at the Aquatic Center for the last Summer Community Swim Meet on Friday, August 30th at 6PM. This event is open to swimmers of all skill levels! Whether you're looking to compete or just enjoy the atmosphere, it's going to be a fun night of exciting races and community fun. Events include freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, and relays - sign up for your event at the Aquatic Center/ PCR today!! Warm-ups will be at 5:30PM, Meet start will be at 6:00PM.

IMPORTANT UPDATE! Due to the expected weather on Saturday, PCR will be moving the Heart of the Aleutians Festival into the Unalaska City High School Gymnasium. The festival will still take place from noon to 6 PM and will feature all of the great vendors, games, and music—just in a drier setting. We want to extend a special thank you to the Unalaska City School District for opening up their facilities to us for the festival.

Attention K-2nd Grade Soccer Campers: Today’s morning session will once again take place in the Community Center gymnasium. We look forward to seeing you there for the last day of camp!

Want to pick up a new skill this season? Register online today for our upcoming Beginner Guitar Lessons! If you’ve never picked up a guitar before, that’s okay! We will start at the very beginning, learning proper posture, how to tune, and how to play basic chords. *Participants must provide their own instruments. If you are a parent of a 360 child or just interested in the program and being entered on the waitlist please take some time during the Heart of the Aleutians festival to stop by our 360 Open House. The kid's room will be open from 1 to 2 PM on Saturday, August 17th, so you can stop by and learn about the coming year and meet Ms. Lisa. We are looking forward to a great year! If your child is enrolled in 360 this is a great opportunity to complete our information sheets that are required for each participant!

🌟 Bunker Hill Endurance Challenge 🌟 Think you have what it takes to conquer one of Unalaska’s most iconic hills? Join us for the Bunker Hill Endurance Challenge and put your stamina to the test! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Participants of all ages are welcome to tackle up to 13 round trips to the bunker. Please note, the full marathon distance is not recommended for those under 18. 🏆 Prizes & Medals: The fastest Men's and Women's runners to complete the marathon will receive a trophy! All marathon finishers will earn a custom medal. Cookbook Club is returning to the Unalaska Library! We hope you are having an excellent summer and are ready to talk about the delicious food you’ve been enjoying. Our August book is OAXACA: HOME COOKING FROM THE HEART OF MEXICO by Bricia Lopez. We will meet on Thursday, August 15, 5:30 PM at the Unalaska Public Library to share food and discuss recipes we tried. All are welcome. Extra copies are available for checkout at the library.
