We have a special time set aside for Unalaska’s littlest swimmers and their families! Enjoy some splish-splashing’ in the pool with other children of this age group. Children ages 3 and under must wear a swim diaper, and a parent/guardian must be in the water providing direct supervision.

Throughout the school year, the Aquatic Center teams up with Eagle’s View Elementary to provide weekly swim lessons to grades Kindergarten - 4th. Make sure your child gets their permission slips signed & turned in to their teacher, and check to see what week they are scheduled to swim! Don’t forget your swim suit and googles!

When the lights go down, the teens take over. High schoolers, this one’s just for you! Unwind at the Aquatic Center with a free, late-night swim session designed exclusively for 9th–12th graders. Bring your friends, dive in, and kick back at The Deep End Club.

Going a whole year without practicing your strokes makes it pretty hard to get back into the swing of things in the Spring. On Tuesdays, kids who are serious about practicing can come to a one-hour skills practice and refinement session lead by one of our swim coaches. This is different from free swim. It’s a time for kids to hone their skills. Participants should know how to swim before joining and will be asked to pass their swim test before beginning.

Join us for a high intensity, low impact aquatic workout! This is a group fitness class that will get your heart pumping and body moving without beating up your bones and joints. This workout is for all skill levels and will be conducted in the deep end of the pool with Aqua belts. Aquatic dumbbells and ankle weights are provided if desired.

The Aquatic Center will be hosting two Lifeguard/CPR training courses through the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program this Fall for individuals who wish to become a lifeguard. Each class will require students to participate in lifeguarding roles and are expected to perform lifeguard duties as first responders.  Students will perform on deck and in water simulations, drills and exercises for rescue techniques as an individual, and in team scenarios as part of multiple rescuers drills. Certificate valid for one year. Swim Test: September 13 at 2:00 p.m. or by appointment

Join us for a unique movie experience at the Aquatic Center! Held on the first Wednesday of each month, Dive-In Movie Night invites families and friends of all ages to relax in the pool while enjoying a fun film on the big screen. Bring your favorite floatie (please pre-inflate before arrival) and settle in for a splashy evening of entertainment.

Pick your FOREVER pumpkin from our Floating Pumpkin Patch!  Each age group will have 30 minutes to swim in search of their perfect Halloween Pumpkin.  Following the ‘picking’, children will head up to the Mezzanine where glitter, paint, and stickers of all colors will be available to decorate pumpkins.

This event provides a fun night for fathers, sons, grandfathers and all other bros to have some quality time together at the pool. In-water and out-of-water games are welcomed and provided, however this event strictly promotes free leisure swimming where boys can be boys (safely). Food will be provided.
