The 4th of July parade is right around the corner! Now is the time to call or stop by the community center and get your business or organization registered to have a float, vehicle, or walking group in this year's parade!
This year's theme is: National Treasure
We have custom-made trophies for Best Use of Theme, Best with Animals, and Judges Favorite.
As part of the registration process you will be asked to provide a brief writeup about your business or organization which will be read during the parade, this is a great way to get some community-wide recognition!
Summer Solstice Run check in and day of registration starts at 6:15 pm at Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor! This is a great day for a 2 mile run!!! Race starts at 7!

Register today for our Summer Solstice Run! This 2-mile run at Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor is a great kickoff to the summer racing season! The run is this Wednesday and will start at 7:00 p.m. with check in opening at 6:15 p.m.
Bring your SWIMSUIT!!! Summer Playground Program will be headed to the Pool today!!! Please drop off at the Community Center no later than 2 PM and then pick up your child at the pool by 4 PM.
Summer Playground Program will be at the UCSD Highschool Park today and the group may walk over to Front Beach for some beachcombing.

What an awesome week! The Aquatic Center would like to thank all community members and the JMSDF for participating in our 1st Summer Community Swim Meet. Five Community Records were broken! Our next Summer Community Swim Meet will be held on July 7th.

Join us on the back side of Ballyhoo Mountain for a fun run up Ulakta Road with members of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the US Coast Guard. The run starts at 6:30 p.m. so be sure to come a little earlier to get lined up. There will be no timing for this fun run so if you wish to record your time please bring a smartwatch or phone to do so.

There is still room in our Arts Alive Living Foods Lab that begins tomorrow and runs the next 4 Saturdays in June! This class is a great opportunity for kids in grades 1-4 to explore the amazing world of cultured foods! $40.00 for this class. Class time is 1-3PM
It’s orphaned pottery week!
Item’s without a Work in Progress Form attached will be “up for adoption” on Friday the 9th.
We appreciate the volume of pottery being created; currently, we are running the kiln at least four times a month, generally with 2 bisque and 2 high-fire glaze runs. Come on in, glaze your work and we’ll have it ready for you to take home before the end of the month.
We will be doing a glaze fire on Sunday for those who would like to have pieces ready for that firing!
Students in Grades 1 - 8 are invited to join members of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force for a free origami class in the Community Center Kids Room at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 6.

Sign up today for our Summer Playground Program. The program is for children who are going into grades 1 - 8 and runs from 1 PM to 4 PM, Monday - Friday, June 5 - July 28. There is no fee to participate but registration is required!
